Cognyte Software (NASDAQ:CGNT) shares rose 8.63% in premarket trading on Wednesday after the security analytics software company released its second-quarter fiscal 2027 financial results.
The results cover the quarter ended July 31, 2026. Cognyte was also scheduled to hold an earnings conference call at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The company had previously announced on September 1 that its second-quarter results would be released before the market opened.
Cognyte shares traded as high as $8.94 in premarket trading, compared with their previous close of $8.23.
Cognyte entered Q2 following fiscal 2026 revenue growth
For the full fiscal year ended in 2026, Cognyte reported revenue of $400 million, representing an increase of 14.1% year over year.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 65.7%, while GAAP operating income was $13.3 million, compared with an operating loss in the previous fiscal year.
Ahead of the second-quarter release, analyst estimates cited in the source had been revised higher in recent months. The consensus price target was $13.50.
Recent contracts include APAC and EMEA agreements
Cognyte had also announced several contracts in the weeks preceding its second-quarter results.
These included an approximately $15 million expansion involving a military intelligence customer in the Asia-Pacific region and an approximately $5 million renewal with a national security customer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
