Rackspace Technology (NASDAQ:RXT) shares rose 13% on Thursday morning after the company said it joined the NVIDIA Cloud Partner Program and plans to offer NVIDIA Blackwell-powered artificial intelligence infrastructure for regulated enterprises and governments.

Under the collaboration, Rackspace will combine NVIDIA accelerated computing with Palantir software and governed private-cloud infrastructure. Rackspace will operate the environment from the infrastructure layer through production.

As part of the NVIDIA Cloud Partner Program, Rackspace said it will support NVIDIA technologies across the enterprise AI stack, with competencies covering compute, networking, visualisation and NVIDIA Enterprise Software.

Rackspace Introduces Institutional Sovereign Pod

Rackspace also announced its Institutional Sovereign Pod, an AI infrastructure architecture intended for organisations with data residency, governance, security and compliance requirements.

The architecture will integrate NVIDIA Blackwell technology with Palantir Foundry and AIP in an environment operated by Rackspace. According to the company, the system is designed to give customers control over their data, models and AI environments.

Rackspace said it will provide forward deployed engineering and managed operations as part of the offering. The company said the architecture is intended to support organisations moving AI deployments into production while meeting their governance and compliance requirements.
