Core Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORZ) said it received conditional approvals from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas for electrical power capacity across its data centre sites in Denton, Pecos and Hunt, Texas.
At the Denton site, 297 megawatts of existing electrical power received conditional approval as “Base Load, Pathway (a),” covering longstanding load energised before March 25, 2022. The capacity is not subject to ERCOT’s Batch Zero allocation process.
A further 74 megawatts at Denton was previously validated under ERCOT’s 2025 Regional Transmission Plan study and is also exempt from Batch Zero.
Pecos and Hunt Capacity Receives Conditional Approval
At Core Scientific’s Pecos site, 300 megawatts of existing power received conditional Batch Zero approval as “Base Load, Pathway (b),” covering load energised after March 25, 2022, and before July 10, 2026.
Another 300 megawatts at Pecos received conditional approval as “Studied Load.” Core Scientific said it has submitted the required documentation and paid collateral, although final allocation and the load ramp will not be confirmed until the Batch Zero process is completed.
At Hunt, 431 megawatts of planned electrical capacity received conditional Batch Zero approval as “Base Load, Advancing Large Load, Pathway (e).”
The company said it has completed the required interconnection studies, received ERCOT approval for a 431-megawatt stability study, posted financial collateral, ordered long-lead equipment and started construction at the Hunt site.
