Rum Group (NASDAQ:RUM) shares rose as much as 28% in premarket trading on Monday following a report that artificial intelligence company Anthropic had entered into a $13.7 billion agreement with the company for computing services.
The Information reported that Anthropic was the customer behind the contract, which Rum Group had previously disclosed without identifying the counterparty.
Anthropic Reported as Client Behind Contract
According to The Information, Anthropic has completed the computing services agreement with Rum Group, formerly known as Rumble.
Rum Group had disclosed the $13.7 billion contract in a filing with securities regulators in August but did not name the customer at that time, according to the report.
The reported identification of Anthropic as the client preceded the premarket increase in Rum Group shares on Monday.
