The Hashgraph Group (THG) has listed its IDTrust identity software on IBM’s (NYSE:IBM) Cloud Catalog and entered into a global partnership with the U.S. technology company.
The Swiss Web3 and artificial intelligence software company said IDTrust had completed IBM’s validation process and was now available through its cloud marketplace.
THG develops enterprise software using the Hedera distributed ledger. According to the company, the listing makes IDTrust one of the first commercial applications based on Hedera to be offered directly as a service through a major cloud marketplace.
The addition to the IBM Cloud Catalog provides THG with access to IBM’s enterprise customer base.
THG Secures IBM Silver Partner Status
As part of the relationship, THG said it had qualified for IBM Silver Partner status and signed an Embedded Solution Agreement covering IBM cloud and AI technologies.
The agreement allows THG to integrate IBM technology into its own products.
IDTrust is designed to provide verifiable digital identities for AI agents, devices and individuals. The platform is already being used by a European telecommunications operator for verified caller identity, according to THG.
The company is also targeting the emerging “Know Your Agent” segment, which focuses on verifying whether autonomous software agents are authorised to perform actions on behalf of companies or individuals.
AI Agent Adoption Expected to Increase
Research firm Gartner projects that 40% of enterprise applications will include task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, compared with less than 5% in 2025.
Stefan Deiss, co-founder and chief executive of THG, said increasing use of autonomous agents was creating demand for identity verification.
“Enterprises are deploying AI agents at scale that can negotiate contracts, process sensitive data, and execute financial transactions autonomously,” Deiss said.
“The question everyone is now asking and worried about is: how do I know this agent is authorised to act on my behalf? We have solved that problem with our IDTrust solution.”
IBM has been a member of the Hedera governing council since 2019.
