Crowley brings experience leading consumer brands through growth and transformation
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sweetgreen, Inc. (NYSE: SG), the mission-driven restaurant brand serving healthy food at scale, today announced the appointment of Lauren Crowley as Chief People Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Crowley will report directly to Co-Founder and CEO Jonathan Neman.




Lauren Crowley has more than 20 years of experience leading people organizations through growth and transformation at consumer and technology brands, including Expedia Group, Starbucks, Whole Foods Market and Dell. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at OC Sports & Entertainment, where she led the people function. During her seven years at Expedia Group, she led enterprise-wide talent programs supporting 16,500 employees across 56 countries, and at Starbucks, she led U.S. retail HR operations supporting more than 200,000 partners across more than 15,000 stores.

Adrienne Gemperle, who has served as Chief People Officer through an extraordinary period of growth and change for sweetgreen, will transition out of her role while working alongside Crowley through the end of the year to support a seamless transition.
