Enabling Multistack’s next-generation CRAC-DX (direct expansion computer room air conditioning) cooling platforms in Asia-Pacific
PLYMOUTH, MI. and ROLLE, Switzerland, Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Garrett Motion Inc. (Nasdaq: GTX), a global leader in differentiated turbocharging and electrification technologies for automotive and industrial applications, today announced that Multistack has selected Garrett's oil-free centrifugal compressor technology for its next-generation data center cooling platforms in Asia-Pacific.
The award marks another step in Garrett's expansion into industrial thermal management. Garrett's technology will be integrated into Multistack's next-generation CRAC-DX (direct expansion computer room air conditioning) for data centers, with start of production planned for the second half of 2027. Multistack is a recognized provider of modular chiller and cooling solutions for commercial, industrial and data center applications.
"As AI and digital infrastructure grow, the need for efficient and reliable cooling is becoming increasingly critical," said Olivier Rabiller, President and CEO of Garrett Motion. "Our high-speed, oil-free centrifugal compressor technology helps deliver greater energy efficiency, reliability and system performance. Together with Multistack, we look forward to advancing the next generation of sustainable cooling solutions."
Engineered for industrial HVAC and cooling applications, Garrett's oil-free centrifugal compressor combines high-speed centrifugal compression and oil-free air foil bearing technology to deliver high efficiency and reliability while reducing maintenance requirements. Operating at more than 90,000 RPM, the compressor supports the adoption of next-generation low-GWP refrigerants. Its compact design is more than 50% smaller and 80% lighter than conventional solutions, helping lower total cost of ownership while delivering sustainability benefits.
