Franklin Bitcoin ETF seeks to reflect generally the performance of the price of bitcoin before payment of the fund's expenses. The shares are intended to offer a convenient means of making an investment similar to an investment in bitcoin relative to acquiring, holding and trading bitcoin directly on a peer-to-peer or other basis or via a digital asset platform. The shares have been designed to remove obstacles associated with the complexities and operational burdens involved in a direct investment in bitcoin by providing an investment with a value that reflects the price of the bitcoin owned by the fund at such time, less the fund's expenses.
