NEW BRITAIN, Conn., Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) today announced that Bill Beck has been appointed President, Tools & Outdoor, effective October 1. Beck will be responsible for optimizing Stanley Black & Decker's strong portfolio of brands and products while advancing the strategic roadmap for the Tools & Outdoor business. He currently serves as General Manager and Chief Growth Officer, Tools & Outdoor and is responsible for driving market leadership, strategic growth and brand positioning for the company's global brands.

In 2024, the Tools & Outdoor business generated an annual revenue of $13.4 billion.

"Bill is an exceptional commercial leader who has already been instrumental in helping evolve our Tools & Outdoor division into a brand-led, market-back and data-driven business," said Chris Nelson, Stanley Black & Decker's incoming CEO and current Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and President, Tools & Outdoor. "He plays a critical role keeping our commercial teams focused on what matters - driving sales and organic growth, building a culture of operational excellence and making sure we are setting our brands up for long-term success in the market. Between his experience, competitive drive and commitment to our people and our brands, I am confident he will lead our teams to build on our momentum and drive the Tools & Outdoor business forward."

Beck brings more than twenty-five years of leadership in product management and brand marketing to this role. Before joining Stanley Black & Decker in March 2024, Beck was Chief Marketing Officer at Elevance Health, where he led the execution of a multiyear transition and streamlining go-to-market brand architecture to drive deeper product and brand focus for the organization. Prior to that role, Beck spent nearly a decade at Whirlpool Corporation, overseeing the organization's North American kitchen business and brand marketing. He also served as chair of the Whirlpool global brand council, leading the development and implementation of brand strategy for newly acquired international brands. Beck began his career at Pepperidge Farm, serving in various sales and marketing roles over the span of eleven years. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business from New York University.

"Stanley Black & Decker has a portfolio of some of the most iconic brands in the world – brands that stand for quality, innovation and getting the job done," said Beck. "We have made great strides toward capitalizing on our strength in the market, and I see enormous opportunity to accelerate our success by continuing to build and activate a growth culture.
