Cloud computing and online retail behemoth Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) will be reporting earnings this Thursday after market close. Here’s what investors should know.

Amazon beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 3.4% last quarter, reporting revenues of $167.7 billion, up 13.3% year on year. It was a very strong quarter for the company, with a solid beat of analysts’ EPS estimates and an impressive beat of analysts’ operating income estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Amazon’s revenue to grow 12% year on year to $178 billion, in line with the 11% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.57 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings.
