3 Sports Betting Stocks to Watch Before Earnings

By Fernanda Horner | November 05, 2025, 12:39 PM

Sports betting giants DraftKings Inc (NASDAQ:DKNG) and PENN Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:PENN) will report third-quarter earnings tomorrow, the former after the close and the latter before the open. Sector peer Flutter Entertainment PLC (NYSE:FLUT) also has a report coming up, with third-quarter results due out after the closing bell on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Below, let's take a look at these stocks' performances and post-earnings reactions.

Tough Times for DKNG

DKNG was last seen down 0.1% to trade at $28.57, while carrying a 23.9% year-to-date deficit. The security is now on track for its eighth loss in nine sessions, and earlier gapped to a two-year low of $28.04 after late last month failing to conquer the overhead 20-day moving average.

Despite this recent underperformance, DKNG has an upbeat post-earnings track record. The equity finished five of its last eight next-day sessions higher, including a 15.2% pop in February. The shares averaged a 6.3% post-earnings move in the last two years, but this time around the options pits are pricing in an much bigger 13.9% move, regardless of direction.

PENN Rallying Off Support

PENN is up 2.3% to trade at $16.55 at last glance, but is down 16.8% in 2025. A familiar floor at the $16 level contained the security's most recent losses, after also stepping in as support in August and then again in October, containing a pullback from its highest level since March.

Penn Entertainment doesn't have nearly as great of a post-earnings history, with shares settling lower after five of its previous eight reports. Options traders expect a 10.2% next-day move this time, regardless of direction, compared to PENN's average move of 6.8% over the last two years.

Keep Tabs on This Newbie

Carrying a more than 30% three-month deficit, FLUT is down 2.7% to trade at $215.94 at last check. The security earlier slipped to its lowest level since April and is now pacing for a third-straight daily loss, after succumbing to resistance at the $260 level back in mid-October.

Flutter Entertainment doesn't have as much history as its aforementioned counterparts, with only five reports under its belt since going public in January 2024, though it has nabbed three post-earnings gains. The shares averaged a next-day swing of 5.1%, regardless of direction, and for next week the options pits are pricing in a slightly bigger 7.5% move.
