ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) is among the 13 Best Nanotechnology Stocks to Buy Now.
On December 10, 2025, TheFly reported that Citi analyst Andrew Gardiner lifted the price objective for ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) to EUR 1,200 from EUR 1,050. The firm maintains a Buy recommendation on the shares as part of its 2026 projections for the European semiconductor equipment group. According to Citi, demand driven by artificial intelligence will result in strong growth and favorable momentum for estimate revisions.
TheFly revealed on December 10 that Deutsche Bank maintained a Buy recommendation on the shares. The firm raised its price target for ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) to EUR 1,150 from EUR 1,000.
The Netherlands-based company is the world’s sole manufacturer of extreme ultraviolet lithography machines that print chip designs on silicon wafers.
However, ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML)’s dominance is being contested by startups. CNBC reported on December 1, 2025, that the Trump administration intends to invest up to $150 million in chip laser startup firm XLight. XLight is collaborating with national laboratories in the United States to produce a prototype that could be connected to devices manufactured by ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) or others, as per CNBC. The business has proposed employing technology drawn from particle accelerators to make one that would use significantly less electricity than present lasers. Other businesses, such as Substrate, are also looking into competing technologies in advanced chip manufacturing.
