Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) stock is surging higher on Tuesday after the company reported fourth-quarter financial results and first-quarter financial guidance. The stock has been popular with retail investors in recent years, but also is also controversial due to government contracts, including those with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Here's a look at the financial results and members of Congress who own PLTR stock.
Palantir Q4 Earnings
Palantir reported fourth-quarter revenue of $1.41 billion, up 70% year-over-year. The total beat a Street consensus estimate of $1.33 billion.
Of the overall total, the U.S. segment was $1.08 billion, with U.S. Commercial at $507 million and U.S. Government at $570 million.

Palantir Stocks Raise Red Flags
Along with the late disclosure from McClain, who is one of the highest-ranking members of the Republican Party as the chair of the House Republican Conference, other trades involving Palantir have garnered attention.
Members of Congress who serve on defense committees have bought and sold stock, which could create conflicts given the company’s government contracts.
Here are some of the committee assignments that could mark conflicts of interest:
- Cisneros: House Armed Services Committee
- Jackson: House Committee on Foreign Affairs
- Johnson: House Committee on Homeland Security, House Committee on Foreign Affairs
