At Cisco Live EMEA on Tuesday, Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) launched several groundbreaking innovations designed to transform AI networking, boost efficiency, and enable organizations to scale AI-powered workloads with confidence.

These advancements include the introduction of the Cisco Silicon One G300, a high-performance switching silicon, and major updates to its AI infrastructure systems.

Cisco Silicon One G300: The Backbone for AI-Driven Data Centers

The new Cisco Silicon One G300, with a 102.4 Tbps switching capacity, sets a new standard for AI backend networking.

This silicon is specifically designed to power massive AI clusters, offering optimal performance, security, and reliability.

The G300 also delivers 33% increased network utilization and 28% reduced job completion time, making AI data centers more profitable by enhancing the efficiency of GPU hours.

This silicon’s programmability allows it to adapt to new network functionalities, providing long-term infrastructure value.

High-Performance Systems and Efficient Cooling for AI Workloads

Cisco introduced new systems—Cisco N9000 and Cisco 8000—powered by the G300 to support AI workloads in both hyperscale and enterprise environments.

These systems are designed for the extreme power and thermal demands of AI, with liquid cooling technology that enhances bandwidth density and improves energy efficiency by nearly 70%.

In addition, Cisco unveiled new optics like the 1.6T OSFP and 800G Linear Pluggable Optics, which are critical for scaling AI networks.

These optics reduce power consumption and ensure high-performance connectivity for AI deployments.

Simplifying AI Networking with Cisco Nexus One

To further streamline AI infrastructure, Cisco advanced its Nexus One platform, offering unified management and AI networking capabilities.

The platform combines Cisco's silicon, systems, optics, and software into a single integrated solution.

Nexus One's AI Job Observability and integration with Splunk provide deep insights into network performance and AI workload behavior.

This unified fabric approach enables customers to deploy and adapt their networks flexibly, with built-in automation and customization.

JPMorgan Says 2026 Orders Could Surprise To The Upside

JPMorgan hosted an investor meeting with Cisco following the company’s fiscal first-quarter earnings release.

Analyst Samik Chatterjee emphasized that Cisco’s fiscal 2026 guidance for hyperscaler AI orders, exceeding $4 billion, represents a “minimum-level target.”

The analyst also noted that the $2 billion AI opportunity pipeline, including NeoCloud and Enterprise AI, was primarily generated in the last quarter, with Sovereign AI not yet included in these estimates.

To meet its target growth rate of 15%-17% in security, Cisco will need a significant shift towards new products, he added.

CSCO Price Action: Cisco Systems shares were up 0.25% at $87.00 during premarket trading on Tuesday. The stock is trading near its 52-week high of $87.24, according to Benzinga Pro data.
