Recognition underscores measurable progress in emissions performance, governance and supply chain execution
ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), a leading global provider of complete connection solutions, today announced that it has been selected for the 2025–26 Emerson Supplier Sustainability Award. The award recognizes suppliers that demonstrate strong, measurable sustainability performance and consistent execution across Emerson’s global supply base.
Belden has participated in Emerson’s Responsible Sourcing Program since 2024. This first-time recognition reflects demonstrated progress across key areas, including:
-
Emissions performance and sustainability improvements that are reported to Emerson
-
Governance and transparency, including reporting and sustained communication of progress over time
-
Supply chain execution, reinforcing that sustainability is embedded into operations and not treated as a side initiative
“Emerson sets a high bar for sustainability performance across its supply base, and this recognition is meaningful because it reflects verified, measurable progress,” said Brian Anderson, Chief Legal & Risk Officer at Belden and Chair of the company’s Sustainability Steering Committee. “It signals that Belden is not only meeting expectations—we are distinguishing ourselves through consistent execution. We’re not just stating commitments; we’re turning progress into proof in a way customers can see, track and value.”
Emerson assesses sustainability performance on criteria it considers to be foundational and achievable by suppliers of all sizes and industries. “Since launching our inaugural Supplier Sustainability Awards in 2024, we have been thrilled to see the engagement from our suppliers and to benchmark their performance according to Responsible Sourcing Policy supplier expectations,” said Ming Zu, Vice President of Supply Chain and Global Distribution at Emerson. “We congratulate Belden on being recognized for their ongoing commitment and accountability to internal sustainability governance and meeting standard supply chain expectations on quality, on-time delivery, lead time and cost.”
The recognition strengthens Belden’s position as a preferred technology partner and represents a multi-year, cross-functional effort spanning sustainability leadership, customer-specific packaging optimization initiatives, and ongoing executive alignment.
