Belden Demonstrates Early Progress on RUCKUS Integration and Value Creation

Manufacturing integration in India demonstrates how Belden is leveraging its global capabilities and RUCKUS’ networking portfolio to drive operational efficiencies and expand market opportunities.

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), a leading global provider of complete connection solutions, announces today that it will manufacture select RUCKUS Networks ICX Ethernet switches at its Pune, India facility. This signals an important step in the integration of RUCKUS, a Belden brand, into Belden through early initiatives focused on leveraging the combined company’s manufacturing, supply chain, commercial and operational capabilities to create value and accelerate growth.

The initiative extends RUCKUS’ significant existing presence in India into manufacturing while demonstrating how Belden can use its global operating footprint to support the RUCKUS portfolio and expand opportunities in key markets. The result is a more scalable local model that will better serve customers and partners.

Leveraging the Belden platform

Belden’s global manufacturing and operational footprint provides opportunities to integrate RUCKUS capabilities into existing infrastructure rather duplicating efforts. India provides an early example of this approach. RUCKUS has an established presence in Bengaluru, its largest global site for R&D and customer success, as well as a Research & Design Centre in Chennai. Belden also operates a Customer Innovation Center in Bengaluru and manufacturing capabilities in Pune. By bringing RUCKUS production into Belden’s operations, the combined company is creating a more connected presence across innovation, customer engagement and manufacturing. The initiative also supports India’s broader Make in India agenda, which encourages increased domestic manufacturing and domestic value addition. Local production strengthens RUCKUS’ ability to serve customers and partners in sectors where locally manufactured and supported technology infrastructure is increasingly important.

Building a broader value-realization model

Manufacturing integration represents one component of Belden’s broader RUCKUS strategy. The combination of Belden and RUCKUS will improve operating efficiency through the leverage of common infrastructure and capabilities, while accelerating growth through deeper customer relationships, expanded market access and a broader portfolio of networking and connectivity solutions.
