Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) shares gained 3.3% on Thursday after the company announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), bringing Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models deeper into Oracle’s enterprise software portfolio. The stock also received support from broader gains across the technology sector.
The collaboration is designed to give enterprise customers greater flexibility when developing AI-powered business applications and autonomous workflows.
Gemini AI Added to Oracle’s Enterprise Platforms
As part of the expanded agreement, Google’s Gemini models will be integrated into Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, enabling organizations to create, tailor and deploy autonomous AI agents within their business operations.
Oracle also plans to incorporate Gemini directly into its flagship Fusion Cloud Applications and Oracle NetSuite offerings, broadening access to generative AI capabilities across its software ecosystem.
The rollout includes two Gemini models. Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite is designed for highly efficient, cost-effective workloads, while Gemini 3.5 Flash is intended for more advanced reasoning tasks, including dynamic video creation and presentation generation.
Oracle said it will continue supporting a multi-model AI architecture, allowing customers to use third-party AI models alongside Gemini.
Enterprise Customers Gain Greater AI Flexibility
“To achieve the best business outcomes, organizations need the flexibility to choose the AI model best suited to each problem,” said Chris Leone, EVP of Applications Development at Oracle. “Bringing Gemini to AI Agent Studio gives our customers greater choice as they build next-generation agentic workflows.”
NetSuite founder and EVP Evan Goldberg added that integrating advanced large language models such as Gemini enables NetSuite customers to “improve visibility, automate work, and move seamlessly from insight to action.”
