Pony.ai (NASDAQ:PONY) has expanded its pipeline of planned and potential international robotaxi deployments to more than 4,000 vehicles, highlighting the Chinese autonomous driving company’s growing ambitions outside its domestic market.
The update came alongside strong second-quarter results, with Pony.ai reporting total revenue of $36.2 million, an increase of 68.8% compared with the same period a year earlier.
Robotaxi Revenue Surges Nearly Eightfold
Robotaxi services were a major contributor to Pony.ai’s quarterly growth, with revenue from the business jumping 691.2% year on year.
The division accounted for one-third of the company’s total revenue for the first time, demonstrating the increasing importance of commercial autonomous mobility services to Pony.ai’s overall business.
The rapid expansion comes as the company continues to scale its robotaxi operations and pursue deployment opportunities in overseas markets.
Pony.ai Maintains Full-Year Robotaxi Growth Target
Management remains confident that the momentum seen during the second quarter can continue through the remainder of the year.
“We will continue to advance our full-year plans and are confident in our ability to exceed our full-year robotaxi services revenue target,” said Pony.ai CEO James Peng.
Pony.ai remains on track for full-year robotaxi revenue to exceed three-and-a-half times the level recorded in 2025.
Combined with an international deployment pipeline exceeding 4,000 vehicles, the latest figures point to an accelerating commercial rollout for Pony.ai as it seeks to establish a larger presence in the global autonomous transportation market.
