T3 Defense (NASDAQ:DFNS) shares surged 64.3% in pre-market trading on Tuesday after Noble Financial initiated a bullish stance on the defence technology company, issuing a Buy rating and lifting its price target to $30 from $20.
The sharp move triggered a volatility-related trading halt before shares subsequently resumed trading, highlighting the intensity of investor activity surrounding the stock ahead of the market open.
Analyst Upgrade Counters Bearish Short-Seller Report
Noble Financial’s positive assessment arrived as investors were also digesting a bearish report from Fugazi Research, creating sharply contrasting views on the company’s prospects.
Fugazi Research raised concerns about T3 Defense’s financial performance, capital structure and acquisition strategy. The short seller alleged that the company’s recent growth story has depended largely on capital markets activity and equity issuance rather than sustainable improvements in its underlying operations.
Investors taking a more positive view of the company, however, could point to recent operating figures from its Rimon subsidiary. Rimon generated monthly revenue of $2.6 million in July 2026, representing a record for the business.
Year-to-date revenue reached approximately $5.25 million, already surpassing T3 Defense’s full-year 2025 revenue of $4.6 million and providing further evidence of accelerating activity within the group.
Defence Technology Exposure Supports Investor Interest
The broader U.S. equity market also provided a favourable backdrop for the move. The S&P 500 gained 0.4%, the Dow Jones advanced 0.3% and the NASDAQ climbed 0.8%.
T3 Defense operates across several areas of the defence and aerospace technology markets, including GPS-denied navigation, drone payload systems and unmanned aerial systems. These segments have attracted increasing attention amid higher global defence expenditure and continued geopolitical tensions.
T3 Defense Volatility Remains in Focus
The combination of Noble Financial’s Buy recommendation, its higher $30 price target, record monthly revenue from Rimon and a positive wider market environment helped propel T3 Defense shares sharply higher.
However, the competing short-seller report means investor sentiment remains divided. While recent revenue figures and the analyst upgrade provided strong support for the bullish case, concerns surrounding the company’s financing, capital structure and acquisition-led expansion continue to form part of the debate around T3 Defense.
The scale of Tuesday’s pre-market rally and the resulting volatility halt underline the heightened level of investor interest in the stock as the market weighs these competing narratives.
