VIAVI Solutions (NASDAQ:VIAV) has introduced the CyberFlood CF50, a testing appliance designed for enterprise-scale application performance, security, artificial intelligence inference and large-language model testing.
The 1U appliance supports testing at speeds of up to 100G and combines Layer 4-7 traffic generation, security assessment and AI inference testing in a single platform, according to a company announcement dated September 29, 2026.
CF50 Supports Security and AI Testing
VIAVI said the CyberFlood CF50 is designed as a portable, all-in-one platform for testing network infrastructure across application, security and AI workloads.
According to the company, the appliance has the lowest power consumption in its category and delivers TLS performance 1.75 times that of its nearest competitor. These performance comparisons are company claims.
The CF50 also includes native support for post-quantum cryptography.
The platform provides a web-based interface that does not require a Microsoft Windows client. Other capabilities include automated goal-seeking, support for MITRE ATT&CK frameworks and repeatable traffic-mix testing.
VIAVI Targets Network and Service Providers
“The CyberFlood CF50 combines realistic application traffic, security validation and AI inference testing in a highly portable platform, enabling customers to validate infrastructure at scale, accelerate deployment decisions and improve confidence in production readiness,” said Sashi Jeyaretnam, Senior Director of Security Product Management at VIAVI.
The CF50 joins VIAVI’s existing CyberFlood CF1000 platform, which the company targets at large enterprises requiring higher performance levels.
VIAVI said the new CF50 is intended for network equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and service providers.
The company did not provide pricing information or financial guidance related to the launch in the supplied material.
