EPAM Systems Launches AI Service for Enterprise Model Development

By Fiona Craig | October 05, 2026, 8:51 AM

EPAM Systems, Inc. (NYSE:EPAM) has launched a new service focused on the development and testing of frontier artificial intelligence models for enterprise workflows, according to an announcement dated October 5, 2026.

The offering covers three main areas: high-fidelity data generation, model evaluation and the development of customised reinforcement learning environments.

EPAM said the reinforcement learning environments are designed to simulate complex enterprise workflows, allowing developers to test multi-turn interactions, reasoning capabilities and tool use before models are deployed into production.

Service Builds on Existing AI Partnerships

The service draws on EPAM’s existing partnerships with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft.

According to the company, it has trained nearly 10,000 Claude-certified architects, more than 3,000 OpenAI-certified forward-deployed engineers and more than 5,000 Gemini-certified specialists.

“As frontier AI shifts from general experimentation to complex enterprise workflows, the demand has fundamentally moved from raw compute to specialized domain intelligence,” said Elaina Shekhter, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at EPAM.

EPAM also cited an April 2026 Gartner report which projected that 99% of agent platform providers will offer simulation environments by 2028, compared with less than 25% in 2026.
