CoreWeave to Deploy Nvidia Vera Rubin Chips
CoreWeave plans to install Nvidia Vera Rubin chips at the facilities to support workloads including AI model training and operation, reasoning functions and AI agents.
The India project extends CoreWeave’s expansion in Asia after the company announced its initial projects in Indonesia in August.
Chief Executive Mike Intrator said last month that CoreWeave was “largely sold out” of capacity. The company reported approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power in August.
AdaniConneX is separately participating in a large-scale Indian data centre project for Alphabet’s Google.
According to a Wood Mackenzie report published in July, India’s data centre capacity is projected to increase from 2.2 gigawatts to 12 gigawatts by 2030. Capacity specifically supporting artificial intelligence is forecast to increase to 6.5 gigawatts.
CoreWeave shares were around 2% lower in pre-market trading on Wednesday after gaining 4.95% in the previous session.
