New agnostic framework reduces integration complexity, helping customers and vendors connect faster, automate intelligently and scale using existing systems.
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--$INGM #ingrammicro--Ingram Micro Holding Corporation (NYSE: INGM) today announced the issuance of a U.S. patent supporting Xvantage™, the company’s AI-powered platform and the foundation of its intelligent operating system for the global technology ecosystem.
The patented Vendor and Customer Agnostic Framework (VCAF) enables customers, vendors and partners to connect to Ingram Micro using the systems, data formats and business processes they already have in place, eliminating the need for costly custom integrations. By reducing complexity and standardizing how information moves across the technology value chain, the framework accelerates onboarding, supports automation at scale and creates a stronger foundation for AI-driven insights and growth.

The patent marks another milestone in Ingram Micro's transformation into the intelligent operating system for the global technology ecosystem and reinforces its strategy of building technologies that remove friction. Unlike traditional integrations that require custom development, VCAF provides a scalable framework that connects customers and vendors using their existing systems. As adoption grows, the platform becomes more intelligent, driving greater automation and increased value.
“Ingram Micro is evolving from a transaction-based business into a platform powered by compounding intelligence,” said Sanjib Sahoo, Executive Vice President and President, Global Platform Group, Ingram Micro. “VCAF transforms complex, costly integrations into a scalable intelligence advantage. Every new connection strengthens the network, increases the value of the platform and helps customers and vendors achieve better business outcomes.”
The VCAF advantage
As the technology supply chain grows, it becomes more complex in connecting systems across vendors and solution providers in areas like catalogs, quotes, orders and more. Previously those systems needed customized development, manual operations and ongoing maintenance, however, the patented VCAF framework changes that model. VCAF analyzes partner data, understands unique business requirements and automatically generates, validates and deploys these configurations needed to connect systems, eliminates custom coding for traditional integrations, which helps organizations onboard faster and adopt easier as their businesses evolve in real time.
Unlike traditional point solutions, VCAF works across both sides of the technology transaction.
For vendors, VCAF supports catalogs, rich content, recommendations, quotes, bids and deals, purchase orders, provisioning, invoices, claims and accounts payable. For solution providers, this same framework supports email-to-order, email-to-quote, accounts receivable, payments and reporting.
"The technology industry is only as powerful as its ability to connect," said Dham Pathervellai, Chief Technology Officer, Ingram Micro. "For AI to deliver meaningful business outcomes, organizations need access to connected, trusted data. This patent helps create that foundation by bringing together information from disparate systems and making it easier to automate processes, generate insights and take action at scale."
Meeting customers where they are
VCAF embodies Ingram Micro’s ongoing commitment to meeting customers where they are by connecting seamlessly to their existing systems, protocols and business processes as technologies evolve without disrupting workflows. This makes it easier for companies to adopt, connect and create a scalable foundation for automation, decision making based on data and enterprise-wide AI enablement.
Partners can connect through Ingram Micro's APIs, MCP-enabled experiences or continue using their existing protocols and formats. No matter how they connect, VCAF handles the adaptation behind the scenes while providing a faster path to onboarding, end-to-end visibility and greater automation.
"This innovation reflects our continued progress toward becoming the operating system for the B2B ecosystem," added Sahoo. "We're not just improving existing processes. We're building foundational technology that customers, vendors and partners need to connect, automate and grow in the ways that work best for them. VCAF is another step in our commitment to making every interaction with Ingram Micro simpler, smarter and more centered on the customer."
