Revvity, Inc. (NYSE:RVTY) shares rose 5.55% in US premarket trading on Tuesday after the health sciences technology company reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter 2026 earnings and revenue and raised its full-year financial outlook. The results reflected growth across its Life Sciences and Diagnostics businesses, with particularly strong performance in Life Sciences.
The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.37, exceeding the Wall Street consensus estimate of $1.30. Revenue increased 4% year over year to $729 million, surpassing analyst expectations of $694.72 million.
On a pro forma basis, excluding the China Immunodiagnostics business pending divestiture, revenue reached $710 million, representing 7% year-over-year growth. Pro forma organic revenue also increased 7%, demonstrating continued underlying business expansion.
Revvity delivered adjusted earnings per share of $1.37 for the third quarter, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.30 by $0.07.
Reported revenue reached $729 million, compared with $699 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
The 4% increase in revenue reflected growth across the company’s health sciences operations.
The result exceeded Wall Street’s revenue forecast of $694.72 million by approximately $34.28 million, representing a beat of nearly 5%.
The stronger-than-expected performance contributed to a positive investor reaction, with shares advancing 5.55% in premarket trading.
The results also supported management’s decision to increase its full-year earnings and revenue forecasts.
Excluding the China Immunodiagnostics business that is pending divestiture, Revvity reported third-quarter pro forma revenue of $710 million.
This represented a 7% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
Pro forma organic revenue also increased 7%, indicating that underlying business growth contributed to the improvement.
The pro forma figures provide an additional measure of performance by excluding the business that Revvity plans to divest.
The difference between reported revenue of $729 million and pro forma revenue of $710 million reflects the adjustment associated with the China Immunodiagnostics operations.
The company’s underlying growth performance was stronger on a pro forma basis than the 4% increase recorded in reported revenue.
Management highlighted broad-based growth and operational execution as important factors behind the results.
Revvity President and Chief Executive Officer Prahlad Singh described the third-quarter performance as evidence of improving business momentum.
“Our exceptional third quarter performance demonstrates the momentum building across Revvity, as broad-based growth and strong execution drove results meaningfully ahead of our expectations,” Singh said.
The comments followed stronger-than-expected revenue and adjusted earnings, alongside growth in both of the company’s principal operating segments.
The results demonstrated continued demand for Revvity’s products and services across life sciences and diagnostic applications.
The company also reported positive pro forma organic revenue growth in both divisions, supporting management’s assessment of broad-based expansion.
The stronger performance provided the basis for its revised full-year financial outlook.
Revvity’s Life Sciences segment delivered third-quarter revenue of $380 million, compared with $343 million in the corresponding period last year.
The increase represents approximately 10.8% reported revenue growth.
On a pro forma basis, segment revenue increased 11% year over year.
Pro forma organic revenue growth reached 9%, indicating substantial underlying expansion in the business.
The Life Sciences division recorded the strongest growth among Revvity’s two principal segments during the quarter.
The performance contributed significantly to the company’s consolidated revenue increase and helped support its earnings beat.
The segment’s results also reflected the broader growth momentum highlighted by management.
Revvity’s Diagnostics business reported third-quarter revenue of $349 million, compared with $356 million in the prior-year period.
This represented a reported revenue decline of approximately 2%.
However, the division delivered positive growth when measured on a pro forma basis.
Pro forma revenue increased 4% year over year, while pro forma organic revenue grew 5%.
The difference between reported and pro forma performance reflects the exclusion of the China Immunodiagnostics business pending divestiture.
The positive pro forma growth indicates that the remaining Diagnostics operations continued expanding despite the decline in reported revenue.
The segment’s performance contributed to Revvity’s overall pro forma organic revenue growth of 7%.
Following the stronger third-quarter results, Revvity increased its full-year 2026 earnings outlook.
The company now expects pro forma adjusted earnings per share of between $5.40 and $5.45.
The midpoint of the revised range is $5.425, compared with the analyst consensus estimate of $5.35.
This places the midpoint approximately 1.4% above Wall Street expectations.
The higher guidance reflects management’s improved assessment of the company’s earnings prospects following its third-quarter performance.
The revision also indicates confidence in continued business execution during the final quarter of the year.
Investors responded positively to the announcement, with Revvity shares gaining more than 5% in premarket trading.
Revvity also raised its full-year revenue forecast.
The company now expects pro forma revenue of approximately $2.86 billion for 2026.
This compares with the analyst consensus estimate of $2.85 billion, placing management’s outlook slightly above market expectations.
The company also forecasts full-year pro forma organic revenue growth of approximately 5%.
The projection indicates continued underlying expansion across its operations, supported by growth in Life Sciences and Diagnostics.
The annual organic growth outlook is below the 7% pro forma organic increase achieved during the third quarter.
Nevertheless, the revised revenue forecast reflects management’s confidence in the company’s overall financial performance.
The outlook excludes the China Immunodiagnostics business pending divestiture, providing a view of expected revenue from the remaining operations.
Revvity’s pending divestiture of its China Immunodiagnostics business remains an important consideration in interpreting the company’s financial results.
The company presented both reported and pro forma revenue figures for the third quarter.
Reported revenue reached $729 million, while pro forma revenue excluding the business was $710 million.
The adjustment also affected the presentation of segment growth, particularly within Diagnostics.
Although reported Diagnostics revenue declined year over year, pro forma revenue and organic growth remained positive.
The company also based its revised full-year revenue and adjusted earnings guidance on pro forma figures.
Investors will therefore need to distinguish between reported and pro forma performance when assessing Revvity’s financial results and future growth.
Revvity’s third-quarter results demonstrated stronger-than-expected financial performance, supported by growth across its Life Sciences and Diagnostics operations.
Adjusted earnings per share of $1.37 exceeded analyst expectations of $1.30, while reported revenue increased 4% to $729 million.
Pro forma revenue reached $710 million, representing 7% year-over-year growth, with pro forma organic revenue also increasing 7%.
The Life Sciences segment delivered revenue of $380 million, supported by 9% pro forma organic growth.
Diagnostics reported revenue of $349 million, with pro forma organic growth of 5% despite a decline in reported sales.
Management raised its full-year pro forma adjusted earnings guidance to $5.40–$5.45 per share and increased its revenue outlook to approximately $2.86 billion.
Both forecasts exceeded analyst consensus expectations, contributing to the positive market reaction.
Investors will be monitoring whether Revvity can maintain its organic growth momentum, deliver its revised financial targets and complete the planned divestiture of its China Immunodiagnostics business.
The performance of its Life Sciences and Diagnostics segments will remain central to the company’s earnings outlook.
