Company's growing lineup of winter celebrations brings festive entertainment, seasonal flavors, thrilling rides and resort getaways to more guests
New, free Senior Admission plus limited-time Black Friday offers give families more ways to spend time together
ARLINGTON, Texas, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: FUN), North America's largest regional amusement park operator, unwraps a bigger and brighter 2026 holiday season as two new events join fan-favorite celebrations at 11 theme parks across the United States, Canada and Mexico plus holiday getaways at select Six Flags resorts. Special holiday offers, including new free Senior Admission, make it easier than ever for families to celebrate together across generations.
Holiday in the Park, WinterFest, Knott's Merry Farm and Christmas in the Park transform Six Flags parks into winter wonderlands filled with millions of lights, elaborate décor, live entertainment, seasonal food and beverages, visits with Santa Claus and select roller coasters and family rides.
"Six Flags parks have always been places where families and friends make memories together, and there is something especially meaningful about doing that during the holidays," said Kelly Daugherty, Six Flags' director of entertainment. "This year, we're bringing the season to life across more of our parks while introducing an entirely new Holiday in the Park experience at Great Adventure and Over Georgia, and creating even more ways for families across generations to enjoy Six Flags together. Whether guests come for the rides, lights, entertainment, food or simply to spend time together, there are more ways to celebrate with Six Flags this holiday season."
New for 2026: two reimagined Holiday in the Park events and new family entertainment
Two familiar holiday traditions return in a completely new way this season. Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia debut reimagined versions of Holiday in the Park as the first phase of a multiyear transformation of the event. Each park will introduce three new, immersive holiday lands, expanded entertainment, interactive experiences, festive food and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the parks from daytime into a sparkling holiday night.
The redesigned celebrations will surround guests with themed environments featuring elaborate lighting and décor, music, seasonal characters and live entertainment. Programming will include nightly tree-lighting spectaculars, carolers, spirited street entertainment, live musicians, indoor mainstage productions and other holiday performances.
Guests can also experience seasonal activities such as photos with Santa Claus, cookie decorating, gingerbread house building, festive photo opportunities and special tasting menus. Select thrill rides, family attractions and children's areas operate during the event, giving guests opportunities to experience their favorite rides against the backdrop of holiday lights.
The 2026 transformation builds on what guests have long loved about Holiday in the Park while creating a more immersive celebration designed to unfold from day into night. Plus, the events will expand with additional experiences over the coming years.
On the West Coast, entertainment takes center stage at Six Flags Magic Mountain's Holiday in the Park as it raises the curtain on seven new live shows. From high-energy musical productions and toe-tapping holiday performances to the loveable Looney Tunes, merry elves, playful comedy and festive surprises, the expanded entertainment lineup will bring the sights and sounds of the season to life throughout the park. A tree-lighting ceremony and other returning favorites round out the celebration, keeping the holiday spirit alive after the sun goes down.
Knott's Berry Farm's beloved Merry Farm introduces a spectacular, new ice skating show in the Walter Knott Theater, "Snoopy's Christmas Follies." This unforgettable production features a swinging vocal quartet performing beloved holiday classics, a dazzling line of high-kicking follies dancers, a company of world-class ice skaters, and, of course, Snoopy and the beloved Peanuts Gang. Overflowing with timeless Christmas tunes, breathtaking skating, spectacular showmanship, and heartwarming holiday magic, it's a festive celebration the whole family can enjoy.
More ways for families to experience Six Flags parks together
The holiday season is about spending time together, and Six Flags is introducing new ways to make those experiences more accessible for families across generations.
Together, the offers provide more ways for families to experience a Six Flags park and extend the gift well beyond the holidays.
11 parks, four signature holiday celebrations
Across the Six Flags portfolio, 11 parks will celebrate the season in 2026:
Holiday in the Park
WinterFest
Knott's Merry Farm
Christmas in the Park
Although each park puts its own spin on the holidays, guests will find many of the traditions that have made these holiday events annual favorites.
Millions of lights, thrilling rides and holiday traditions
When the sun goes down, the lights come on. Millions of colorful lights will illuminate participating Six Flags parks, transforming midways, buildings, trees and themed lands into sparkling holiday settings. Guests can enjoy select roller coasters, family rides and children's attractions, weather and conditions permitting, along with live entertainment ranging from tree-lighting ceremonies and carolers to musicians, dancers and large-scale productions.
Beyond the lights and rides, holiday traditions will fill the parks with even more ways to celebrate. Depending on the location, guests can visit Santa Claus, go ice skating, decorate cookies, make s'mores, sip hot chocolate, relax in heated igloos and discover interactive experiences throughout the park. Offerings vary by location and some may require an additional fee.
Seasonal food and beverages will round out the experience, with limited-time menus featuring holiday comfort foods, regional specialties, decadent desserts, hot chocolate and festive cocktails and mocktails. Inspired by flavors from Canada, California, the Great Lakes, Texas, the Southeast and Mexico, the offerings give each destination its own taste of the season.
Ring in 2027 at Six Flags
The holiday season doesn't end with Christmas. Guests can ring in 2027 with special New Year's Eve celebrations at select parks including Carowinds, Kings Island, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Six Flags Magic Mountain. From family-friendly festivities and early countdowns to spectacular fireworks displays and celebrations at midnight, Six Flags parks offer memorable ways for families and friends to say goodbye to 2026 and welcome the new year together.
