Well-known investor Stephanie Link said recently on CNBC that she would buy more Meta Platforms Inc (META) stock and additional Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) stock on any pullbacks by the names.
Link currently owns both names.
A frequent guest on CNBC, Link is the Chief Investment Strategist at Hightower Advisors.
Why Link Is Bullish on Meta Platforms Inc (META)
Noting that Meta Platforms Inc (META) is still down 13% from its highs, Link pointed out that its revenue rose 16% last quarter versus the same period a year earlier, while its operating margins came in about three percentage points above expectations in Q1.
Further, Link is pleased by the company's high free cash flow and is upbeat on the company's management team.
Finally, the investor pointed out that the shares are changing hands for just 17 times analysts' average forward estimates.
Why Link Is Upbeat on AMZN
Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) is trading for 14 times its EBITDA, significantly below its historical average valuation of 17 to 18 times its EBITDA, Link reported.
Further, the tech giant has "amazing moats" around its retail, cloud infrastructure, and advertising businesses, according to the investor.
Link called advertising "the real surprise growth driver for the company going forward."
While we acknowledge the potential of META, our conviction lies in the belief that AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns, and doing so within a shorter timeframe. There is an AI stock that went up since the beginning of 2025, while popular AI stocks lost around 25%. If you are looking for an AI stock that is more promising than META but that trades at less than 5 times its earnings, check out our report about this cheapest AI stock.
