Qualcomm Acquires Autotalks to Advance V2X and Road Safety

QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., has completed its acquisition of Autotalks, a leading provider of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication solutions. V2X technology allows vehicles to communicate directly with their surroundings, playing a key role in improving road safety and traffic efficiency.

With this acquisition, automakers and industry partners will gain access to a full suite of ready-to-deploy, automotive-grade V2X solutions designed for use in vehicles, roadside infrastructure, and even two-wheelers. These tools aim to address safety and traffic challenges while supporting the development of advanced safety features and enhanced experiences in assisted and automated driving for next-generation vehicles.

QCOM has surged by nearly 6% in the past month.
