UPS Commits More Than $2 Billion to Expand Global Logistics Network

By Fiona Craig | August 24, 2026, 8:58 AM

UPS (NYSE:UPS) is investing more than $2 billion across its International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions operations as the logistics group expands infrastructure and services across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

The investment programme began in 2024 and is expected to run through 2028, with UPS directing capital towards new logistics hubs, healthcare capabilities, freight infrastructure and international air connections.

New Hubs Planned Across Asia and North America

Among the largest projects is a new UPS hub at Clark Airport in the Philippines, which is scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company is also developing a facility in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, with an expected opening in 2027, followed by a new air hub at Hong Kong International Airport planned for 2028.

Together, the projects are intended to increase UPS’s international capacity and strengthen connections between major manufacturing, trade and consumer markets.

UPS Expands Healthcare and Supply Chain Infrastructure

The investment programme extends beyond traditional parcel delivery. UPS has completed or is developing 27 temperature-controlled freight cross-dock facilities as it builds out its capabilities for healthcare and other temperature-sensitive shipments.

Additional projects include a technology-enabled logistics centre in Taiwan and an expansion of the company’s air hub in Incheon, South Korea.

In Amsterdam, UPS has also developed a Supply Chain Solutions facility bringing together freight, brokerage and cold-chain capabilities at a single location.

International Flight Network Adds New Routes

UPS is increasing air connectivity alongside its physical infrastructure investments.

The company has introduced five-times-weekly flights between Paris and Hong Kong as well as between Shenzhen and Sydney, expanding links between important European and Asia-Pacific logistics markets.

UPS has also broadened its North American Air Freight offering to provide time-definite heavy air freight services to and from Mexico.

“These investments allow us to bring air, ground, brokerage and distribution together in one solution, with fewer handoffs, more end-to-end control and less complexity,” said Kate Gutmann, UPS Executive Vice President and President of International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions.

UPS Targets More Integrated Global Logistics Services

The programme reflects UPS’s strategy of combining transportation, customs brokerage, distribution and specialised logistics services within a more integrated international network.

By increasing capacity across major global trade corridors and expanding temperature-controlled and healthcare infrastructure, the company is seeking to offer customers greater control over shipments while reducing the number of transfers involved in moving goods through international supply chains.

UPS reported revenue of $88.7 billion in 2025. The company employs approximately 460,000 people and provides services across more than 200 countries and territories.
