Tank solutions help operators protect integrity, support uptime and maximize payload

At booth #1239, Wabash will display three tank trailers, including a specialty chemical trailer, fleet chemical trailer and frame-and-cradle sanitary trailer, while highlighting valve technology from Betts Industries. The exhibit brings Wabash’s “Built Around Your Business” approach to life through application-specific engineering, configurations tailored to each operation and practical tank expertise designed to help customers address critical priorities: safety, uptime and payload.

The Original Frame & Cradle Tank Trailer

Wabash has been building its frame-and-cradle tank design for more than 50 years, drawing on decades of real-world use and customer input to continually refine the design for today's sanitary hauling applications. Its unique aluminum frame-and-cradle design is approximately 250 to 500 pounds lighter than traditional stainless-steel designs, helping maximize payload. Tension-fit rings support a smooth internal barrel finish and more consistent insulation coverage helps keep food-grade products colder for longer in transit.

Engineered for Demanding Applications

Wabash supports liquid-transport applications including chemical, sanitary, food-grade, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and corrosives/FRP. Customers can select application-based packages or work directly with Wabash engineering teams to customize material grades, insulation, pumps, meters, integrated safety systems and other specifications based on operating requirements.

The Wabash FRP tank uses automated winding technology to create a one-piece barrel that reduces seams and potential weak points while providing a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to stainless steel. Chemical tanks incorporate wide stainless-steel sheets, precision welding, 2205 duplex stainless heat panels and an integrated outlet sump designed for complete drainage. Acutherm™ Sanitary tanks use a lightweight frame-and-cradle, tension-fit ring construction designed to support durability, payload efficiency and product integrity.

Advancing Tank Safety and Product Integrity

Wabash will also highlight valve technology from Betts Industries designed to provide greater visibility into the status of valves, vents and manhole openings and closings. The technology can help operators verify that outlets are properly closed, helping reduce opportunities for product contamination while reducing the need for drivers to climb on top of tanks to inspect seals.
