Discussing Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) stock on Schwab Network recently, Ryan Patel said that "if you believe in a company's product and you think that its leadership team can get things done and you see (the stock) dip, that's a good time to buy its shares."
A frequent commentator over the years on many business-news shows, Patel is currently on the board of directors of the Drucker School of Management and was described by the Schwab Network as a "global business executive."
Why Patel Is Bullish on AMD
Noting that Cathie Wood recently bought Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) stock, Patel said that "you see a lot of movement (towards the stock)."
The pundit added that "AMD's (first-quarter) earnings were great," while AMD has a great deal of room to grow," in comparison with Nvidia (NVDA).
Patel's Caveat About AMD and Nvidia
Without a trade deal between the U.S. and China, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) will not be "able to close the gap with Nvidia," the commentator said. Moreover, if there is no such trade deal, "Nvidia's growth will be stunted," Patel warned.
