Cloud computing and online retail behemoth Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) will be announcing earnings results this Thursday afternoon. Here’s what investors should know.

Amazon beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 1.2% last quarter, reporting revenues of $180.2 billion, up 13.4% year on year. It was a strong quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ EPS estimates and a narrow beat of analysts’ revenue estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Amazon’s revenue to grow 12.7% year on year to $211.6 billion, improving from the 10.5% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.95 per share.
